As chief medical officer, Trina E. Espinola, MD, serves as the senior physician leader for Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, ensuring quality and effective medical services. She is a board-certified otolaryngologist, practicing in St. Petersburg since 1993 and currently serving as section chief of otolaryngology at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. Trina also has served as chief of staff at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital and chief of surgery for Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital Medical Center.
She earned her medical degree at Tulane School of Medicine in New Orleans. She completed a residency in general surgery followed by a residency in otolaryngology – both at Tulane. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery.
Throughout her career, Trina has focused on promoting good health and quality care and serves as chairman for the Florida Westcoast Health Alliance, medical director for Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital Ambulatory Surgery Center, president of the Pinellas County Medical Association, and on the board of directors for the South Pinellas Medical Trust.
