70+ St. Petersburg Physicians join Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health
No change to patient care or physician office locations
St. Petersburg, FL (November 1, 2024) – Today all Orlando Health physicians practicing under the Bayfront Health Medical Group umbrella will officially become part of Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health (FMCOH). Aligning under one brand ties together a vast network of medical professionals throughout the Tampa Bay area, while expanding care available to local patients. The expanded medical group includes more than 500 providers in Pasco, Hillsborough and now Pinellas counties. To recognize the transition, internal celebrations were held at all physician offices.
“We are thrilled to have our St. Petersburg-based physicians unite with our FMCOH team, who have been serving the Tampa Bay region for more than 30 years. Patients will also have a wider network of healthcare providers and facilities they can depend on for exceptional care,” said John Moore, President of Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital and Senior Vice President, Orlando Health, West Region.
The partnership also brings a new Orthopedic group to the St. Petersburg community and Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. This team of six Orthopedic surgeons offers expertise in spine care, orthopedic trauma, sports medicine, joint care, as well as general orthopedic services.
Joe Delatorre, Chief Executive Officer of FMCOH said, “We are proud to have this prestigious group of talented physicians and healthcare professionals join our medical team. We share the same patient centered values and are dedicated to providing optimal outcomes for those in our care.”
Patients will continue to receive the same excellent care and will not be affected by the rebrand, since FMCOH is already a part of the Orlando Health system. They will have access to more doctors and clinicians at more locations throughout the Tampa Bay community. There will be no changes to scheduling, the patient portal or insurances accepted.
