Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Achieves Accreditation for Epilepsy Program

St. Petersburg, FL (March 11, 2022) – Bayfront Health St. Petersburg’s level 4 epilepsy program has been re-accredited by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers for the 18th consecutive year.

Being recognized as a level 4 program means the hospital can offer a complete evaluation and treatment for epilepsy, including surgery when appropriate. Bayfront Health St. Petersburg has the expertise and specialists to offer the most complex forms of intensive neurodiagnostic monitoring, as well as neuropsychological and psychological treatment.

Bayfront Health St. Petersburg is only one of five adult level 4 epilepsy centers in Florida. “It is because of our team members’ dedication and commitment to excellence that makes this possible,” said John Moore, President of Bayfront Health St. Petersburg. “Our patients, their family and our community will benefit greatly from this achievement.”

The accreditation lasts for two years from 2022 to 2024.
