Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Opens Community Grant Program to Local Organizations

St. Petersburg, FL – (January 10, 2022) – Today Bayfront Health St. Petersburg officially launched the Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Community Grant Program. The program offers competitive grants to assist local organizations and hospital team members in their efforts to improve health and wellness in the region.

“We have prioritized supporting our local community since day one,” said John Moore, president, Bayfront Health St. Petersburg. “We see this program as another way to positively impact our neighbors and address some of the significant health needs across the county.”

The program will award grants that help address the top three health needs as identified by the 2018 Pinellas County Community Health Assessment, which are:

1. Improved access to care
2. Mental health and substance abuse
3. Built environment/access to transportation

The submission process for organizations interested in applying for a grant occurs in two phases. Applicants must first submit a letter of intent to apply by January 21, 2022, through the form found on Bayfront Health St. Petersburg’s Community Grant Program website Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Community Grant Program (bayfrontstpete.com). Once the application is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email from the Community Benefit Team.

A limited number of applicants who receive an invitation to participate in the second phase of the process will then submit a grant proposal by February 25, 2022. Applicants can apply for grants between $500 and $50,000.

Grant winners will be notified and funds disbursed in March to cover program implementation April 2022 – March 2023. Grantees will be required to demonstrate the community impact of their programs at the end of the implementation term.

As part of the requirements for submitting applications, initiatives must align with the 2018 Pinellas County Community Health Assessment, which is conducted every three years. The assessment uses comprehensive data collection and analysis to identify key health needs and issues in communities across the region.
