Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Ranked High Performing in Medical Specialties by U.S. News & World Report

St. Petersburg, FL (July 26, 2022) - U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in hospital rankings and consumer advice, has named Bayfront Health St. Petersburg as a 2022-2023 High Performing hospital in two categories:

  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
  • Kidney failure

The U.S. News & World Report ratings are designed to assist patients and their doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions or elective procedures. More than 4,500 hospitals across 15 specialties and 20 procedures and conditions were evaluated for this most recent award period. Evaluations measured a variety of factors including hospital survival rates, complication rates, patient experience and level of nursing care. High Performing ratings for medical specialties were awarded to hospitals providing care that is significantly better than the national average.

The 480-bed Bayfront Health St. Petersburg was founded in 1910. It was acquired October 1, 2020 by Orlando Health, a not-for-profit healthcare organization with $8 billion of assets under management.
