Physician Performs 2500th Robotic Surgery at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg, FL (June 22, 2022)- Megan Indermaur, MD celebrated a recent milestone at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg. The board-certified gynecological oncologist completed 2,500 surgeries using the Intuitive da Vinci Surgical Robot. The device uses a minimally invasive technique to perform surgery. Dr. Indermaur is trained and specializes in minimally invasive surgery, both traditional and da Vinci robotic surgery, for most gynecological cancers and benign, difficult pelvic surgery.

Dr. Indermaur earned her medical degree from Saint Louis University, School of Medicine in 2002. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of South Florida where Dr. Indermaur continued a three-year fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at USF and H. Lee Moffitt Cancer & Research Center.

Dr. Indermaur is a board-certified diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has a subspecialty board certification in Gynecologic Oncology. She joined Women's Cancer Associates in 2009 and has been working with the residency program since then.
