Program Overview
Family Medicine Residency
Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital’s Family Medicine Residency Program is an ACGME-accredited, three-year program. Each year, our program accepts eight residents to train in the unique environment of a teaching medical center within a community hospital setting. At Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, our residency programs produce highly trained medical professionals who are well-prepared to practice medicine in a variety of settings.
Curriculum
Our first-year rotations focus on inpatient, outpatient and emergency medicine for adults and pediatrics, surgery, OB-GYN, and the newborn nursery. Once a strong foundation is established in these areas, the second- and third-year curricula expand experience in the outpatient setting with further rotations and electives in specialty fields. Each resident also has their own longitudinal continuity clinic for their private patients across all three years of training.
