Family Medicine Residency
Salary
- Program Year 1 – $59,000
- Program Year 2 – $61,200
- Program Year 3 – $63,600
- Chief Residents – $68,600
Paid Vacation
- Program Year 1 – 21 Days of Vacation (which include six annual holidays)
- Program Year 2 – 21 Days of Vacation (which include six annual holidays)
- Program Year 3 – 21 Days of Vacation (which include six annual holidays)
- Chief Residents – 21 Days of Vacation (which include six annual holidays)
- Six annual holidays include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day
- Up to five additional paid days off per academic year for pre-approved educational travel
Insurance Benefits
- Health, dental and vision insurance available for the resident and family for a subsidized, low monthly cost
- Medical liability insurance provided to the resident at no cost

Licensure/Exam Fees Cost Reimbursements
Residents are reimbursed the cost of the application and activation fees for:
- Florida state medical licensure (training and unrestricted license)
- United States Medical Licensing Examination® (USMLE®) III examination fees (required for each resident by the end of the first year)
CME and Industry Membership Expenses
- Program Year 1 – $2000
- Program Year 2 – $3,000
- Program Year 3 – $3,500
- Chiefs – $3,500
Education and Travel
Residents are reimbursed for pre-approved educational travel expenses. Up to five additional paid days off per academic year are granted for pre-approved educational travel.
Moonlighting
Licensed residents may moonlight with the approval of the Program Director at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital or other approved care facilities.
