As a teaching facility, Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital is committed to the education of our future healthcare professionals, including medical students. The hospital is a primary site for fourth-year medical students from the University of South Florida, LECOM, and Florida State University who must complete an acting internship (AI).

Please print and complete the Medical Student Rotation Form. Please feel free contact us regarding the below rotations.

Family Medicine Rotations

Medical students work closely with family medicine resident physicians. They participate in inpatient and outpatient care, and attend morning “sit down” rounds, daily noon conferences and weekly grand rounds.

Fourth Year Medical Student Opportunities

  • Acting Internship in Family Medicine – Students participate as active team members on the medicine service.
  • Advanced Family Medicine Rotation – Students see patients in the Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital Family Care Center and on the inpatient medicine service.
