Director's Message

For over 110 years, Bayfront Health St. Petersburg has been at the forefront of health care in St. Petersburg, Florida. We are proud of our tradition of excellence and care for the residents of Tampa Bay.

Bayfront Health St. Petersburg is a not-for-profit community hospital and academic teaching center accredited through the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program is a four-year residency with four resident physicians per year.

Our resident physicians are provided with an opportunity to train in a unique environment of a teaching medical center within a community hospital setting. The OB-GYN resident physicians receive training in all the OB-GYN subspecialties: Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gyn Oncology, REI, and Urogynocology.

Our mission is to train resident physicians to be knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring physicians. Through training attained in our program, resident physicians will acquire the basic knowledge of obstetrics and gynecology to provide quality healthcare to the diversity of women and those underserved in our community.

At the Bayfront Health St. Petersburg OB-GYN Residency Program, we strive to graduate mature, professional physicians who will have developed superb clinical and surgical skills to provide quality healthcare and be prepared to practice medicine in all types of settings.

The Bayfront Health St. Petersburg OB-GYN Residency Program is the beginning to a successful and rewarding career. We look forward to meeting you.
