Dr. LaPolla received his degree in medicine from the University of Illinois. After completing a residency in Internal Medicine, Dr. LaPolla completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Los Angeles County, USC Medical Center where he subsequently completed a fellowship in Gynecological Oncology.
Dr. LaPolla is board certified in Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is subspecialty certified in Gynecological Oncology. From 1991-1998 Dr. LaPolla served as the residency director at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg and was previously an associate professor at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Gynecological Oncology.
