Dr. Alexander Ramirez is a board-certified bariatric surgeon with Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health. Since 2014, he has been guiding Floridians to achieve better health through weight loss. A recognized expert, Dr. Ramirez is certified by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) as a Master Surgeon in Robotic Surgery and Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery.
He uses an innovative approach with just three small incisions that results in less patient discomfort and shorter recovery times. His specialties include:

Dr. Ramirez performed research and clinical fellowships in bariatric surgery and minimally invasive surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston.

A fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (FASMBS), Dr. Ramirez has published more than 45 articles on various bariatric and surgical topics in peer-reviewed journals. His professional memberships include the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopy Surgeons, the Society of Robotic Surgery and the Latin American Society of Endoscopy Surgeons. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
