Christian Rosado, MD, is a board-certified neurohospitalist with Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute Neurology Group. He provides swift, time-sensitive care to patients who develop unexpected, complex neurological conditions while in the hospital. Examples include stroke, intracranial pressure, neuro-muscular emergencies and extended seizures.

Dr. Rosado also is available to consult with medical staff regarding the care, comfort and safety of inpatients with neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Myasthenia Gravis and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, more commonly known as ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Expert Care When It Is Most Needed

For patients with an unexpected neurological emergency such as a stroke, immediate action and expert care are critical to protect the brain. Dr. Rosado works alongside Orlando Health hospital staff and acute care providers to promptly assess a patient’s condition and provide life-saving care and treatment. He also provides outpatient care at the Orlando Health Comprehensive Stroke Clinic.

Rapid, Expert Treatment for Stroke

Rapid, expert treatment for stroke may mean the difference between life, serious disability and even death. An ischemic stroke occurs when a vessel supplying blood to the brain becomes blocked leading to lack of blood flow in that part of the brain. A hemorrhagic stroke occurs when a blood vessel in the brain ruptures and bleeding occurs inside the brain.

Dr. Rosado and his partners on the Orlando Health stroke team, along with their neurosurgical and intensive care colleagues, are available 24/7 to treat acute strokes with emergent coordination of the most advanced technologies and treatments available including radiology studies and, in certain situations, medications including tissue plasminogen activator (TPA), endovascular interventions (mechanical thrombectomy and clot retrieval) and other surgeries. If performed quickly and at a comprehensive stroke center such as Orlando Health, these treatments may lessen the long-term effects of stroke and offer the best chance for recovery.

Christian Rosado, MD, Offers the Experience You Need

Dr. Rosado offers the experience you need. For more than 10 years, he has provided care to patients with neurological conditions and participated in medical research and education. These areas of specialization enable him to offer the experience, expertise and compassionate care you need during a neurological emergency, such as stroke or seizure, while in the hospital or in the outpatient setting at the Orlando Health Comprehensive Stroke Clinic.
