Dr. Edwin Humphrey is a board-certified pathologist with Orlando Health Bayfront Health Medical Group Pathology with more than 35 years of experience. He cares for patients by diagnosing their illnesses through laboratory analysis. His duties include:
- Analyzing bodily fluids and tissue samples
- Performing laboratory tests
- Providing pathology reports to assist in disease study, diagnosis and treatment
As a member of the Board of Trustees for a decade, he has guided the exemplary care that Orlando Health Bayfront Health is known for.
Dr. Humphrey’s Training
Dr. Humphrey earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He did master’s level studies in biological sciences and earned his medical degree from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. Dr. Humphrey completed residencies in anatomic and clinical pathology at University of South Florida affiliated hospitals in Tampa, where he served as chief resident in his final year.
About Dr. Humphrey
Dr. Humphrey is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and cytopathology by the American Board of Pathology. He is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists and American Society for Clinical Pathology and a member of the Florida Society of Pathologists and American Society of Cytopathology.
Dr. Humphrey also serves as a medical student educator at Orlando Health Bayfront Health in St. Petersburg.
