Dr. F. Curtis Bryan is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon with Bayfront Health Medical Group Cardiovascular. Practicing since 1997, he has expertise in:
- Heart valve repair and replacement
- Percutaneous valve repair and replacement therapies
- Surgery for electrical heart disorders
- Coronary artery bypass grafting
- Removal of cardiac masses
Dr. Bryan joins Bayfront Health Medical Group Cardiovascular with 25 years of experience in a variety of healthcare roles including medical director, chief of surgery and attending staff surgeon.
He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American College of Cardiology, American College of Chest Physicians and the Southeastern Surgical Congress.
Dr. Bryan’s Training
Dr. Bryan earned his medical degree and graduated cum laude from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He completed his residencies in general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta, where he served as administrative chief resident in cardiothoracic surgery and chief resident in general surgery. He also was a fellow in cardiothoracic surgery at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals.
He performed a research fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at the Carlyle-Fraser Heart Center, also in Atlanta, and is a graduate of the Harvard Medical School Surgical Leadership Program.

Dr. Bryan has been a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in thoracic and cardiac surgery since 2018. His professional memberships include the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, South Atlantic Cardiovascular Society, Florida Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons, and the Heart Valve Society of America.
He completed the Ironman World Championship triathlon in Kona, Hawaii.
