A native Floridian, Holly Baab, MD joined the faculty of Bayfront Health St. Petersburg’s Family Medicine Residency Program full-time in 2010 and now is its associate director. Her interests are in women’s and children’s health, but she especially enjoys recruiting and working with residents.
Dr. Baab earned her B.S. in microbiology and cell science, and graduated with honors from the University of Florida (Gainesville). She also earned her medical degree at UF. She performed a residency at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where she was instrumental in converting the program from a traditional call schedule to the night rotation now in place. Additionally, as both a medical student and resident, Dr. Baab served on the board of directors of the Florida Academy of Family Physicians.
She is a member of the American Board of Family Medicine and holds an appointment with the University of South Florida (Tampa) as affiliate assistant professor. At Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, she chairs the Clinical Competency Committee, serves on hospital committees and regularly co-authors publications with the residents.
