Dr. Jeremy Bowers is a board-certified pathologist and medical laboratory director with Orlando Health Bayfront Health Medical Group Pathology. He cares for patients by diagnosing their illnesses through laboratory analysis. His duties include:
- Analyzing bodily fluids and tissue samples
- Performing laboratory tests
- Providing pathology reports to assist in disease study, diagnosis and treatment
With more than 15 years of experience, Dr. Bowers strives to provide the best care for his patients and has been recognized with the Director’s Award at Moffitt Cancer Center and the Gold Star Award at the James A. Haley VA Hospital, both in Tampa.
Dr. Bowers’ Training
Dr. Bowers earned a bachelor’s degree in zoology and a master’s degree in biology at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, where he graduated magna cum laude as an undergraduate. He earned a master’s in health informatics and his medical degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Bowers also completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at USF, where he served as chief resident in his final year, and a fellowship in mematopathology at Moffitt Cancer Center.
About Dr. Bowers
Dr. Bowers is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, hematology and clinical informatics by the American Board of Pathology. He is a member of the College of American Pathologists, American Society for Clinical Pathology and Florida Society of Pathologists.
He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, written two textbook chapters on benign lymph node pathology and presented his research nationally.
