Dr. Julia Pfaff is a board-certified otolaryngologist head and neck surgeon with Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Medical Group. She specializes in treating all disorders of the head and neck, including sinus disease, allergy, head and neck cancer, disorders of the voice, salivary gland disorders, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, and sleep apnea surgery.
She is dedicated to providing exceptional care to her patients and relates to them on a personal level. During medical school, she had thyroid surgery and that experience shaped her career as a physician.
In addition to minimally invasive thyroid and parathyroid surgery, Dr. Pfaff offers her patients the latest innovation in the surgical treatment of sleep apnea. She is among the few physicians in Florida to perform the Inspire Implant procedure.
Dr. Pfaff’s Training
Dr. Pfaff earned her bachelor of science degree in biochemistry from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania. She went on to receive a master’s degree in public health from the Drexel University School of Public Health in Philadelphia. She received her medical training from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. Dr. Pfaff then returned to Philadelphia to complete her residency in otolaryngology head and neck surgery and facial plastic surgery at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Pfaff currently serves as the department chairman of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and the chairman of the Standards and Credentials Committee at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.
She is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, Pinellas County Osteopathic Medical Society and the Hillsborough County Medical Association.
