Karen Goodwin is a certified physician assistant (PA-C) with Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health. She has more than 25 years of experience in surgical first assists, and her expertise includes:

Karen has been integral to implementing robotic surgery efforts in the Tampa Bay area since 2002, and she became a robotics coordinator in 2018. She is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care with a focus on safety, collaboration and surgical excellence.
Karen’s Training
She earned bachelor’s degrees in environmental health sciences at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond and in physician assistant studies at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
About Karen
Karen is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed as a PA in Florida. She has been recognized as a Robotic Center of Excellence Care Specialist since 2020.
Karen was nominated for Woman of the Year in 2020 by the Leukemia Society and featured as a "Woman in Red" by the American Heart Association in 2019.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family.

The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions, shown above, from our nationally-recognized Press-Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of Orlando Health.
Ratings may not be present for certain physicians of Orlando Health Physician Group and Orlando Health Physician Associates because:
- The physician has not yet met the minimum number of 30 patient satisfaction surveys to be eligible for display.
- They may be a researcher or type of provider that does not see patients.
- They may practice in a specialty or office that has not yet implemented the specified surveys used for these ratings.
