Bio
Katherine Wojnowich, MD, is a board-certified sports medicine physician with Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health. She is board certified in both sports medicine and family medicine and specializes in sports medicine and caring for the active patient. She serves as the director of the sports medicine fellowship program and is faculty with the family medicine residency, as well as medical director of the Eckerd College student health services and athletics department. Additionally, she holds an appointment as an associate professor at the University of South Florida, department of family medicine, and serves as a team physician for the Tampa Bay Rowdies.

Dr. Wojnowich provides specialized care for a wide range of patients, helping injured patients return to activity and providing comprehensive injury prevention programs to help all patients feel their best. She offers non-operative sports medicine therapies including:

Dr. Wojnowich’s Training
Dr. Wojnowich began her education at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in classical studies. Prior to earning her medical degree, Dr. Wojnowich was a U.S Fulbright scholar, a prestigious program sponsored by the United States Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. She earned her medical degree from Icahn Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and then completed her family medicine residency and sports medicine fellowship at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.
About Dr. Wojnowhich
She is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in sports medicine and is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP). Dr. Wojnowich is an active member of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine, American Association of Family Physicians, and Florida Association of Family Physicians.
Dr. Wojnowich serves on the medical staff for many area sports teams and race events and currently serves as team physician for Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Prior to earning her medical degree, Dr. Wojnowich was a Fulbright U.S. Scholar, a prestigious program sponsored by the United States Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
