Kelsie Cook is a surgical thoracic oncology navigator with Bayfront Health Medical Group. With her more than 10 years of experience, Kelsie is able to help patients with cancers affecting the chest area navigate the complexities of the healthcare system. She works closely with thoracic surgeons, pulmonologists and oncologists. She is spearheading a lung screening program.
Her skills include:
- Educating and advocating for patients
- Coordinating patient care
- Reviewing diagnostic imaging results
- Providing survivorship care plans
- Serving as a liaison between patients and other members of the medical team
Kelsie believes that understanding her patients’ concerns and needs is essential to advocate for them and provide them with the best care possible.
Kelsie’s Training
Kelsie earned her Master of Science in nursing (MSN) with an adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner focus from the University of South Alabama College of Nursing in Mobile, where she was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau and Golden Key honor societies. Kelsie also received her associate and bachelor’s degrees in nursing from St. Petersburg College in Pinellas Park, Florida.
