Dr. Lindsay Gates is a board-certified vascular surgeon at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg Medical Group Cardiology. She believes in helping patients attain their highest quality of life. Her specialties include evaluation, treatment and long-term follow-up for:

Before joining Bayfront Health, Dr. Gates served as chief of surgery at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, Washington. She also was an assistant professor at the Washington State University College of Medicine in Spokane, where she served as clerkship director for third- and fourth-year medical students.
Dr. Gates’ Training
She earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Indiana University in Bloomington and received her medical degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. During medical school, she provided care to patients at the Global Health Initiative in Swaziland, Africa. Dr. Gates completed her residency in vascular surgery at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut.
About Dr. Gates
Dr. Gates has a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation certification, the highest standard in vascular ultrasound interpretation. She is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery and the Yale Surgical Society.
She has written numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and her research has been published in the Journal of Vascular Surgeons. Dr. Gates also has presented her work to the Society for Vascular Surgery and the New York Society of Vascular Surgery.
