Dr. Liviu Craciun is a board-certified neurologist with Bayfront Health Medical Group Neurosciences. He has extensive clinical and research experience in epilepsy, stroke, neurointensive care unit monitoring and other conditions that affect the body’s nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves.
Dr. Craciun’s Training
Dr. Craciun received his medical training at the Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Romania. He earned his PhD in neuroscience at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, where he studied ionic channels associated with epilepsy and peripheral neuropathies.
He performed his residency in neurology at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City. His fellowship in clinical neurophysiology was completed at the National Institute of Neurological Diseases and Stroke in Bethesda, Maryland, where he studied patients with rare variants of motor neuron disease.
