Dr. Sean Hubbard is a board-certified neurologist with Bayfront Health Medical Group Neurosciences with expertise in treating dementia, stroke, epilepsy and other disorders that affect the body’s nervous system.
Dr. Hubbard joins Bayfront Health with more than 20 years of experience in a variety of healthcare roles including chief of neurology, neurohospitalist and teleneurologist. As a research biochemist, he studied Alzheimer’s disease and as an educator, he trained interns and residents.
A Florida native, Dr. Hubbard takes a holistic approach in guiding patients to prevent illness, set goals and build healthy, realistic habits. He believes communication is essential to building trust with patients and he has trained professionals in the principles and practices of motivational interviewing for roughly 10 years.
Dr. Hubbard’s Training
As an undergraduate, Dr. Hubbard studied chemistry at Florida A&M University in his hometown of Tallahassee. He earned his degree in osteopathic medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. He completed residencies in neurology at Hahnemann University Hospital and Tenet University Hospitals, both in Philadelphia. At Tenet, Dr. Hubbard was chief resident neurologist.

Dr. Hubbard has written two books about wellness and created instructional videos for healthcare professionals and patients. He also founded The Winner's Circle Foundation, which supplies educational and emotional support with discussions about nutrition, physical fitness, stress management, community and creativity.
He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Outside of work, Dr. Hubbard likes to travel.
