Obesity threatens your health and well-being. Our bariatric team can help you lose weight through minimally invasive surgery and lifestyle changes. The Bayfront Health Weight Loss and Bariatric Surgery Institute offers a comprehensive program for long-term weight loss.

Our board-certified surgeons are the most experienced in the state of Florida, having performed thousands of successful laparoscopic bariatric surgeries since 2000, including gastric bypass surgery. About Us

If you are obese and have struggled many years to lose weight, or have lost weight in the past only to have it come back over and over, then you are not alone. Upwards to 95 percent of all people weighing more than 100 pounds over their ideal body weight who have been morbidly obese for more than five years will be unsuccessful at losing weight and maintaining that weight loss for the next five years. You should consider bariatric surgery if you meet the following criteria:

  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You are more than 100 pounds overweight (or BMI ranging from 35-65) and suffer two serious health problems (such as diabetes, high blood pressure or sleep apnea) as a result
  • You have been at this level of obesity for at least two years
  • You have tried to lose weight following diet programs and have been unsuccessful at either weight loss or maintaining weight loss

Our bariatric surgery team includes experienced, board-certified surgeons expertly skilled in minimally invasive bariatric procedures for successful long-term weight loss. Learn more about our Bayfront Health Weight Loss and Bariatric Surgery Institute physicians below.
