Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital’s on-site pharmacists and pharmacy technicians work closely with your prescribing doctors and caregivers to support your medication needs. Our licensed pharmacy team is trained to dispense prescribed medications, review prescriptions for accuracy, check for potential drug interactions, provide counseling on their appropriate use and address questions or concerns — all to help you achieve the best possible outcomes from your medicines.
Your chance of a better health outcome improves when you take your medications as prescribed. Be sure to carefully read all the directions on the prescription label and ask your pharmacist or prescriber if you have any questions.
Meds to Beds Program
During your hospital stay, our pharmacists work closely with your doctor(s) to ensure the safest and most effective use of medicines to achieve the best possible outcomes. If you choose to participate in our Meds to Beds Program, an Orlando Health Scripts pharmacy team member will deliver any prescribed discharge medications directly to your bedside before you leave the hospital.
Meds to Beds Benefits:
- Continuity of care
- Conveniences of having medications in hand before leaving the hospital
- Covered by most commercial and government insurance, including Medicaid and Medicare Part D (Note: you may be responsible for paying a coinsurance and/or deductible amount.)
- Pharmacist is able to work with your doctor(s) to problem-solve any medication availability or cost concerns
- Private, personalized medication counseling from a pharmacist
To opt in to our Meds to Beds Program, please speak with a nurse during your hospital stay.
